Ingredients

- 4 cups day-old bread, cubed
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk milk, cream, sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add bread cubes to the mixture. Let soak for 10 minutes.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Transfer to the baking dish. Bake for 40-45 minutes until set.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better texture.
- Top with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
