Description

A rich and decadent molten chocolate cake perfect for Valentine’s Day.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz dark chocolate
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Grease two ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder.
  3. Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler.
  4. Whisk sugar, egg, and egg yolk into the melted chocolate mixture.
  5. Fold in flour and salt until just combined.
  6. Divide batter evenly between ramekins.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but center is still soft.
  8. Let cool for 1 minute, then invert onto plates and serve immediately.
