- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in egg yolk and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to form a dough.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Place on baking sheet and press your thumb into the center of each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool.
- Heat heavy cream until simmering. Pour over chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
- Fill each thumbprint with ganache. Let set before serving.

- Dough can be chilled for 30 minutes if too soft.
