Ingredients

  • 4 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease 4 ramekins.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler.
  3. Whisk eggs, yolk, sugar, and vanilla until pale and thick.
  4. Fold melted chocolate into egg mixture gently.
  5. Sift flour and salt into the batter, mix until just combined.
  6. Divide batter evenly among ramekins.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are set but center is soft.
  8. Serve immediately.
