Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 oz dark chocolate, grated

Instructions

  1. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Combine cooled coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
  5. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for 1-2 seconds.
  6. Layer the soaked ladyfingers and cream mixture in serving cups.
  7. Repeat layers, finishing with the cream mixture.
  8. Dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle grated chocolate on top.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the coffee liqueur.
