- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate ganache
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/2 cup chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line three 6-inch cake pans.
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Add eggs, buttermilk, water, oil, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
- Divide batter evenly among the pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool completely. Cut into small rounds to fit jars.
- Layer cake pieces, ganache, and whipped cream in jars. Repeat for three layers.
- Top with chocolate shavings. Serve chilled.
