A delicious chocolate strawberry tart with a buttery crust, rich chocolate filling, and fresh strawberries on top.

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix flour and sugar in a bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles crumbs.
- Add egg yolk and mix until dough forms. Press into a tart pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Let it cool.
- Melt chocolate chips with heavy cream in a double boiler. Spread over the crust.
- Arrange strawberry slices on top. Dust with powdered sugar.
- Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use cold butter for a flaky crust.
- Chill the dough for 10 minutes before baking for better texture.
- Serve the tart within 2 days for best freshness.
