Description

A rich and creamy chocolate mousse tart with a crisp crust. Perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g digestive biscuits
  • 100g unsalted butter, melted
  • 300g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 300ml heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 50g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Crush the digestive biscuits into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter.
  2. Press the mixture into a tart pan and chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate and let it cool slightly.
  4. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Beat the egg yolks with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until light.
  6. Fold the melted chocolate into the egg yolk mixture.
  7. Gently fold in the whipped cream.
  8. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form and fold into the chocolate mixture.
  9. Pour the mousse into the crust and chill for at least 4 hours.
  10. Serve chilled, optionally garnished with berries or whipped cream.
