Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp cold water
- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp espresso powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix flour, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar in a bowl.
- Cut in chilled butter until mixture resembles crumbs.
- Add egg yolk and cold water, mix until dough forms.
- Press dough into tart molds and bake for 15 minutes.
- Heat cream and espresso powder until simmering.
- Pour over chopped chocolate, stir until smooth.
- Add vanilla extract, mix well.
- Pour filling into baked tart shells.
- Chill for 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use high-quality dark chocolate for best results.
- Chill dough before baking to prevent shrinking.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
