Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp cold water
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp espresso powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar in a bowl.
  3. Cut in chilled butter until mixture resembles crumbs.
  4. Add egg yolk and cold water, mix until dough forms.
  5. Press dough into tart molds and bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Heat cream and espresso powder until simmering.
  7. Pour over chopped chocolate, stir until smooth.
  8. Add vanilla extract, mix well.
  9. Pour filling into baked tart shells.
  10. Chill for 2 hours before serving.
