Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.
- Divide batter evenly among cupcake liners. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Let cool.
- For ganache, heat cream until simmering. Pour over chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
- Spread ganache over cooled cupcakes. Serve.
Notes
- Store cupcakes in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Use room temperature ingredients for best results.
- For a lighter ganache, use milk chocolate instead of dark.
