- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes.
- Stir in boiling water. Batter will be thin.
- Pour into pans. Bake 30-35 minutes.
- Cool cakes completely.
- Beat peanut butter and butter until smooth.
- Gradually add powdered sugar and milk. Beat until creamy.
- Frost cooled cake.
Notes
- Use natural peanut butter for best results.
- Let cakes cool completely before frosting.
- Store cake in refrigerator.
