Description

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in boiling water. Batter will be thin.
  5. Pour into pans. Bake 30-35 minutes.
  6. Cool cakes completely.
  7. Beat peanut butter and butter until smooth.
  8. Gradually add powdered sugar and milk. Beat until creamy.
  9. Frost cooled cake.
