Description

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • For the ganache: 1 cup heavy cream, 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
  4. Stir in boiling water. Batter will be thin.
  5. Pour into the pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
  7. For ganache: Heat cream until simmering. Pour over chocolate chips. Let sit for 2 minutes, then whisk until smooth.
  8. Drizzle ganache over cooled cake.
